A non-custodial payment gateway never holds your money. Each payment travels directly from your customer's wallet to your own wallet, and the gateway's job is to create the payment request, show the customer how to pay, and confirm on-chain that the payment arrived.

- No middleman holding your takings. There is no balance to be frozen, no payout schedule, and nothing lost if the gateway has a bad day.
- Proof you can check. Every payment is a transaction to your address that anyone can look up on a block explorer.
- Less trust needed. You don't have to trust the gateway to pay you out, because it never has the money in the first place.
What you take on
- Your wallet is your responsibility. If you lose your seed phrase, nobody can recover the funds. Store it offline, and never type it into a website.
- Refunds are manual. You send them yourself, so keep a little SOL in the wallet for network fees.
- Matching payments to orders is done by the gateway watching the chain, which is why each invoice asks for an exact amount and has a time limit.
How to check any gateway in two minutes
- Create a small test invoice for yourself.
- Pay it from a different wallet (a wallet paying itself moves no money, so it can't be matched).
- Look the payment up on Solscan. It should arrive at your wallet address, in one transfer, not at an address owned by the gateway.
- Check that the gateway never asked for your seed phrase or private key. A real gateway only needs your public address.
